Merrie Harriers Quiz Night - Sunday 30th November 8pm - Cowbeech Bonfire Society Special



Join us at the Merrie Harriers on Sunday 30th November for the penultimate Quiz Night of 2014.

Entry is £1 per person and the winners will receive a bottle Francois Montand Sparkling Wine and 50% of the pot.

For this night only 50% of the pot will go to the Cowbeech Bonfire Society towards their funds that are raised all year round for local charities and good causes.

A Special Quiz Night menu of Beef and Vegetarian Chilli Con Carne at £5 is available as well as our normal Al La Carte menu.

So come along, test your brain, have some fun and help raise money for our local charities

What's that?... Live music at the Merrie Harriers!! 

On Saturday 29th November we have the pleasure of Showcasing the musical delight that is Tom Robinson, it all kicks off at 8pm. We look forward to seeing you all.

"Tom is renowned artist throughout Sussex and Kent who performs power blues and soul with his band the league of gentlemen. For his solo act he performs all kinds of genres from blues to rock to the tunes everyone wants to hear and sing along to. Tom has a deep history in performing having performed professionally for Glyndebourne opera and appeared in many musicals around Eastbourne and Hastings. It will be a night of good heart warming tunes and one definitely not too miss."

Christmas Parties
Our Christmas Party Menu is available from 1st December to the 30th December for lunch and dinner (excluding Christmas Day and Boxing Day). It is generally available for parties of 4 or more, but please do contact us if your party is smaller and we will try to accommodate your booking.

Our Function room overlooking our beautiful beer garden is available for free for all Christmas parties and if you require a party after your meal, we will be happy to help you plan your night.

New Years Eve
Our New Years Eve Dinner will be served between 6pm and 9pm. We will be offering a special A La Carte menu. Party music will commence at 10pm and will continue to the early hours as we see the New Year in....

Bonfire and Fireworks Display - Friday 31st October


The Merrie Harriers Bonfire Society will be holding its annual Bonfire and Fireworks display on Friday 31st October in Cowbeech village.

The gate opens at 6.30pm, the bonfire will be lit at 7.15pm and the fireworks display starts at 8pm.

A Hog Roast, Barbecue and the Beer Tent, with Harvey's and hot mulled cider on offer are available from 6.30pm.

Entrance is £5.00, children under 11's are free with a paying adult

Children's Fancy Dress and Pumpkin Lantern competitions will be held at 6pm, outside the Pub, with judging at 6.30pm - Free Entry

Merrie Harriers Beer and Music Festival


We will be holding our FREE beer and music festival in marquees in our beautiful beer garden on Sunday 24th and Monday 25th August.

There will be an array of Real Ales, local Ciders and Wines to try from. Just some of the Real Ales on offer will be:

Burns Night 2014

We will be celebrating Burn's Night on Saturday 1st February with a traditional Scottish five course supper. Our resident bagpipe player, Andrew, will pipe in our diners outside the pub at 7pm for a 7.30pm start. Between courses there will be fun and frolics and also live bag pipe music played. And of course, the traditional "Stabbing of the Haggis' will be carried out by our chef, Ben.
