Christmas Parties
Our Christmas Party Menu is available from 1st December to the 30th December for lunch and dinner (excluding Christmas Day and Boxing Day). It is generally available for parties of 4 or more, but please do contact us if your party is smaller and we will try to accommodate your booking.
Our Function room overlooking our beautiful beer garden is available for free for all Christmas parties and if you require a party after your meal, we will be happy to help you plan your night.

Boxing Day
Join us on Boxing Day for lunch as we offer our full seasonal A La Carte Menu including our Sharing Boards of Cold Cuts of Meat with Pickles Cheese, Dips and Bubble & Squeak
New Years Eve
Our New Years Eve Dinner will be served between 6pm and 9pm. We will be offering a special A La Carte menu. Party music will commence at 10pm and will continue to the early hours as we see the New Year in....

Bonfire and Fireworks Display - Friday 25th October
The Merrie Harriers Bonfire Society will be holding its annual Bonfire and Fireworks display on Friday 25th October in Cowbeech village.
The gate opens at 6.30pm, the bonfire will be lit at 7.15pm and the fireworks display starts at 8pm.
A Hog Roast, Barbecue and the Beer Tent, with Harvey's and hot mulled wine on offer are available from 6.30pm.
Entrance is £5.00, children under 11's are free with a paying adult
Children's Fancy Dress and Pumpkin Lantern competitions will be held at 6pm, outside the Pub, with judging at 6.30pm - Free Entry

Beer and Music Festival - Bank Holiday Weekend - Saturday 24th August to Monday 26th August
We will be holding our FREE beer and music festival in marquees in our beautiful beer garden from the evening of Saturday 24th through to Sunday 25th and Monday 26th August.
There will be an array of Real Ales, local Ciders and Wines to try from. Just some of the Real Ales on offer will be:

Dig For Victory - Sunday 4th August 2013
The Merrie Harriers Bonfire Society who host this event in our Beer Garden and the fields beyond are a charity that raises funds for local charities and good causes, including Demelza, the organisation that works with children with life-threatening conditions
At the Dig for Victory Summer Fete, Cowbeech village looks back to the 1940's when everyone was encouraged to "Grow your Own". This was not a matter of being green, but a matter of being fed.
At our Summer fete, there will be competitive classes for the best fruit, vegetables, preserves, cakes, flower arrangements and more
Performing at the fete will be the Warbleton Brass Band and the Swingtime Sweethearts. World War II vehicles will be on display and plenty of period dress will add to the impression that the Merrie Harriers has stepped back over 60 years.
There will be a Dog Show with many different classes and plenty of sideshows including Tug of War competition, children's face painting, coconut shy, punch and Judy, maggot racing (yes really), the human fruit machine, to name a few.
Refreshments will be served to cater for all tastes - Tea and Cakes , Ice cream, Barbecue and of course the Beer Tent - serving Harvey's best and Jugs of Pimms
The Merrie Harriers will be open ALL Day and a special Dig For Victory Set Menu Dinner will be served from 7.30pm. this will follow a sing song of Wartime songs around the bar at 7pm.
In true keeping to the theme of the day, all of the vegetables that are served with Dinner will come straight from the Merrie Harriers Vegetable Garden

Burns Night 2013
Friday 25th January
We will be celebrating Burn's Night on Friday 25th January with a traditional Scottish five course supper. Our resident bagpipe player, Andrew, will pipe in our diners outside the pub at 7pm for a 7.30pm start. Between courses " The address to the Laddies and the Lassies" will be performed and live bag pipe music played. And of course, the traditional "Stabbing of the Haggis' will be carried out by our chef, Ben.
